Why are British taking credit for india's success?

British in their 200 years of miserable rule did nothing for India,neither did they ban caste system,nor did they increase literacy,nor did they prevent famine(i mean man made famine),nor did they industrialize India....Sorry British you remind us of FAMINE,POVERTY,HUNGER AND GENOCIDE....when you claim that British are behind India's success as a modern nation...you are simply rubbing salt in our wounds.
